Benefits of strength training for women

Today I come to reflect a little on this topic, I often receive messages from girls who are afraid to train with weights because they are afraid of "looking like a man" , let me tell you that that will never happen (we do not generate even the slightest same amount of testosterone that they generate) so I come to give you 5 reasons why ALL women should train strength :
1. You will burn more fat
We have very internalized that we must do a lot of cardio to lose weight, let me deny that myth, cardio is true that it helps burn calories , but strength exercises increase muscle mass and muscles are metabolically more active tissue than adipose tissue (fat) so they need more energy to maintain themselves than fat, so the greater the muscle mass, the greater your caloric expenditure during the day.
2. Reduces the risk of injuries and osteoporosis
Strength exercises also help strengthen your tissues and joints , therefore you will have greater stability. Furthermore, young women are very prone to knee and back injuries, so with strength training we will avoid these injuries. In older women, strength training prevents osteoporosis , which is the loss of bone mass, so it is advisable to introduce strength exercises combined with aerobic work after menopause to reduce the risk of this disease.
Finally, in elderly women, strength training helps prevent the loss of muscle mass and strength and helps them feel more agile in their daily lives, avoiding falls.
3. Reduces the risk of suffering from cardiovascular diseases
Lifting weight helps lower blood pressure and working on muscular endurance is essential to reduce the risk of suffering from cardiovascular diseases and metabolic syndromes such as diabetes.
4. Improves mental health
We release endorphins that contribute to mental well-being and are great for combating anxiety, depression and stress as it reduces cortisol levels.
5. You will sleep more and better
It will improve your quality of sleep .
And I give you one more tip, you will get stronger! It's time to take away the fear of entering the weight room at your gym and break all the myths, LET'S GET STRONG!
